It seems that OS X notifies you when transit directions for your city are added to Apple Maps. Unless I totally missed the notification on my iPhone, this is something that iOS doesn’t do.

This notification was a pleasant surprise (the notification itself; the fact that transit directions for my city were added, not so much).

Has anyone seen a similar notification on iOS?

Is Jupiter your Time Machine drive? If so, I have directions for making it green like it should be. If not, disregard.

Hey, thank you for offering! Would you believe it if I told you that I don’t let Time Machine manage my backups? I have a second external hard drive and I do backups on my own the old-fashioned way: cut and paste.

There’s that 1% of files that I update rather frequently and truly need to keep safe at all times, but luckily those are Pages and Numbers documents so I just save those docs to iCloud.
