I was playing a game on my iPod touch while it was charging. The back of the iPod was really hot. Then the iPod touch turned off, and when I tried to turn it back on, I would put in the passcode lock, and the iPod would freeze and turn off again. It did this about 5 times. I am pretty sure it had overheated, because the device was charging, I had downloaded a lot from cydia, and I was playing a 3D game. Can this happen that an iPhone or iPod touch can overheat, or was this something else?

I know the iPhone can overheat and it says temperature in bold letters and tells you to cool of the unit before resuming what u were doing. I'd venture to guess the iPod touch has this feature too.

The warning only shows on the iPhone 4 it's a big yellow triangle with a written warning telling u to allow it to cool down .
