I will not be buying the tablet. Even if it does generate limitless amounts of bacon. I simply have too many avenues and methods to get online as it is. I'm certainly not needing any more media enrichment in my life.

A $1000 slab of bacon? As interesting as that sounds, I'll pass.

I'll probably buy it. The e-book reader (which is supposed to be in it) will be handy, especially when I'm away :)

29minutes....

If it runs OSX, I'm all in for one. If it runs iPhone OS, forget about it, I don't need an oversized iPhone.

I voted not buying, the tablet that is. With the iPhone and MacBook Pro I really don't need a new Apple toy that wouldn't do anything more than what I already have. I can't justify the expense of $800 - $1000.

I like what this thing can do and the upgrades are limitless. If I had the $ I would order it and have it ASAP. I think it's a great little machine. I love the iBooks addition.

This thing would be great for guests when they come over, like my Niece and my sister and brother in law. Instead of letting them mess with my iMac, they can give this thing a whirl and play some games and serf the internet.

This thing is awesome!

I voted it No. I don't see this replacing my current combination of iPhone and Mac Book Air.

Now, if I were considering an expensive gift for my parents... a definite 'Yes'.

I'm seriously considering getting a non-3G model. I like the iBook application, even though I have a Kindle but having a bigger, color screen capable of showing photos and videos is very appealing. I also tend to be one of those couch-sitting net surfers and having WiFi at home makes the non-3G iPad look nice. I wouldn't give up my iPhone for a less-smart phone because having connectivity wherever I go is important.

If I read books, I'd consider one. As is, nope... still out.

I see no need for this device, currently. A Mac and iPhone are sufficient enough.

I was seriously looking forward to this as a new eBook reader, but with a lot more media capability...

While this device has hit that mark, the size is just a bit too big for my tastes, and the price is way too high. I'll hold out for the new Pixel Qi display devices (Like the Notion Ink Adam) which is both eInk and LCD.

I want to change my mind to, I don't know. I'm a little floored right now. I really don't need this ipad, it's a gadget novelty. As of right now as much as I love gadgets I don't know if I can justify.

I'm changing my vote to no. Kind of disappointed. priced too high for those of us already carrying the mini version.

that's a great way to put it.

I NEED my iPhone. i NEED my Mac Pro (well, mostly). iPad? not so much.

that being said, i would find it useful for internet lounging around the house, and viewing movies/tvshows/slingbox whilst traveling. I am considering getting one, but it's definitely up in the air.

Wow. Just read up on it.

No Multitasking with a 1gb cpu?

No FLASH(WTF?!?!)

I'm sorry, but Apple is laughing their way to the bank right now. I know a lot of people will buy it, but it is a HUGE waste of money IMO.

If they fix the multitasking, I will likely change my answer.

On a side note, I didn't catch the presentation, and I can't find the details on OS4.0 or whatever.

I know that this runs the iPhone OS, but it has a different dock, and background behind the icons. Is that the 'UI' change they were talking about?
