Id like to see what people are personally putting down to get their iPhone. I personally am having to lay out $510 upfront to get my 16gb phone ($35 activation, $300 phone, and $175 early termiantion from other provider)

Just want to see how many getting it cheap, and how many are shelling out 1/2 a grand off the bat for this thing :)

$199+$18(upgrade fee)+tax(@7%=13.93) - $390(SOLD my iPhone 1 for this price) = -160.07:laugh2: sweet.. right?

already with att, no early termination fee...$199.00 for the 16GB iPhone i want...minus the 100.00 store credit i will use of couse...oh ok..maybe $236.00 with tax and something about $18.00 upgrade fee.....

$299.99 (16GB Black) - $100.00 (store credit) + 18.00 (upgrade fee) + 8.375% NYC Tax = 236.35, if i done my math right...

I put the 3rd option, even though i will be paying about $355. This includes the price of a new dock, since the iPhone 3G does not come with one.

Doc? what do you people mean, why would you need a doc, why not just use the syncing cable?

The dock is very convenient for charging and syncing and just looks plain cool. It's great to just slip the phone in its dock rather than fumble with a plug and try to line it up correctly with the port.

There is no fumbling or difficulty lining it up. I only use the cable daily and it is very easy.

Yeah I am with joe. The dock seems like it would be a simple waste of money. Id rather spend it on super monkey ball and 2 other apps :)

Second option - I'm getting the 16 GB - $299 - and the $18 upgrade fee.

The dock - I really like it - quite convenient for setting it on my desk as an alarm so that i can easily slide to shut it off in bed, but I decided it's money I don't really need to pay.

This is exactly what I would be paying if I didn't have gift cards. As it stands, I'll be getting the 16GB for free. I also feel the exact same way for the exact same reasons regarding the dock. I have a feeling, however, that I'll be picking it up anyway.

Nice! I might have second thoughts on the dock, but I figure I'll be good.

Enjoy that free 3G.

I figured the dock comes with the 3G..the v1 came with one..

Doing the 16G $325.00 (with NY Tax) V1 iPhone unlocked is still on sale on ebay..hoping for atleast $250.00. (fingers crossed)..bidding ends Sat(5th)..

so not paying too much for the new 3G (knock on wood)

I did try to make a reservation with a Personal Shopper Apple rep for the 11th..but Apple is getting smart and removed the "iPhone Option" as something to talk about...how cool would that be to make an appt and walk past everyone in line and get the 3G...
