Problem in configuring iPhone with Business Mail server

Hi All,

I am having a problem in configuring the iPhone with my Business Mail Server so that I can work with my emails while traveling. But I am unable receive / send mails. I am in constant touch with AT&T customer service but yet get a solution. We have POP3 Server and I have configured the incoming mail server as usmail.abcd.com: port number and the out going mail server as smtp1.attglobal.net.

I did not have any problem configuring my earlier Blackberry.

Can anyone help me?

Here's a few things of the top of my head:

What kind of error are you getting?

Have you deleted and re-added the account?

Checked for "fat fingering" of password etc.?

Are you syncing accounts with Outlook or some other mail client?

"usmail.abcd.com" Hmmm typically the server would be just MAIL.xxx.com or POP3.xxx.com and most folks use cwmx.com as the outgoing server.

Have you checked with the IT guys at work?


I'm sure that SOMEBODY here can help ya! :D Just shoot us some more details.
