dear friends,
i recently (3 days back) acquired the 3rd gen iPad (16 GB wifi+cellular).
first thing i did was to upgrade to iOS 6, without trying to uninstall unwanted apps.
now when i try uninstallation (by keep long-touching the app-icon till the cross-mark is supposed to appear), but it doesn't happen.
could it be because of the upgrade or some other problem...
neither the inbuilt app nor the ones installed by me respond to the uninstall-attempt

If those are native apps – apps that come preloaded on the phone – you will not be able to delete them.

Have you try to reboot your iPad?

Sorry for the delayed response - but one possible cause for this is the accidental tripping of the restrictions "Deleting apps" switch. If you ever have this problem again, check your Settings -> General -> Restrictions page, and make sure that either restrictions is not enabled, or that deleting apps is set to allowed (on).
