I was given a skin for my 3G, it is a "FUZE" cover.
However it seems to block the proximity reader to the extent that when on a call the phone does not go dark and my ear hits "mute" or something else and I lose the call.
Ques: where exactly is the proximity dot? Maybe i can cut a hole in the cover.

You can see them under the right angle. Try tilting you're phone away from you under good light and look to the left of the ear piece. There are two in the vertical position and one further to the edge of the phone.

The case shouldn't cover those.

Thanks,
Are all three part of the proximity detection? I.e., should I try to uncover all three or just one?

Then it's not for a 3G, it's for an original iPhone.....
That is the conclusion I reached as well.
I cut off some and it works fine now. It was free anyway.
BTW, thanks.
