YouTube user F.C.E. 365 TV, using a leaked copy of Apple's internal restore software PurpleRestore, has apparently succeeded in restoring iOS 9.3 with a fully writable file system, something normally achieved only with a jailbreak. I'm not sure of the full ramifications of this yet, but this has the potential to make the 9.3 jailbreak a lot more likely.

It appears to be compatible with the 4S and up.
