Question regarding "calling area"

The AT&T website support section states:

“Unlimited Mobile to Mobile (M2M) allows you to make unlimited calls to and from any other AT&T wireless services customer when making calls within your rate plan's calling area.”

Is the “calling area” your local area code or is it the national "coverage area" in general? I can’t seem to find a clear answer on their website.

Anyone know the answer? Thanks...

I think its the coverage area. I remember the At&t sales person say any mobile to mobile calling within AT&T coverage area. not 100% though.

Hope this helps, the title you put on this thread intrigued me so I entered

Sorry about the no title thing... Could have sworn I put it up there.
Anyway, thank you for the responses.
