How will iCloud work if my fiancé and I share an iTunes account? I surely don't want her pics syncing to my phone and vice versa. Anyone know how this will work?

It seems like some things are tied to your iTunes account (like apps, music, and videos), and that stuff you will have to either accept to share or turn off iCloud. Other data (like email, photostream, bookmarks, reminders, etc) is tied to your iCloud account, and you both can create separate iCloud accounts apart from your iTunes account.

It's pretty confusing...

Oh ok that makes sense. I forgot all about having to make icloud accounts. I wonder if we could have three different ones? One for me one for her and maybe one to share?

I can't wait to see how this all works out lol.

Now that I think about it it seems like I setup a me.com account when I setup my find my iPhone awhile back. I'm pretty sure I used the same email account as my Apple ID which is a AOL email account.

Should I just schedule an appointment with a Apple genius and let them sort it out or is there a easy solution to my problem? I'm pretty confused lol.

ok so hopefully someone can help.

I have 2 accounts... one is my MobileMe account that I use for mail/calendar/contacts.

THe other is my scott@mydomain.com account that is linked to my iTunes purchases.

Is there a way to link the two together?

go to settings->store, and sign in using your shared iTunes account. You will have to choose whether or not to sync music, apps, and/or books with each other.

Then create an iCloud account each for you and your wife, and you can each sign into iCloud in settings->iCloud.

nope.

If I use different accounts for iTunes and MobileMe, can I merge them into a single account and use it with iCloud?

No. You cannot merge two accounts into one. However, you will be able to move your MobileMe account (yourname@me.com) to iCloud and, if you choose, you can continue to use a different iTunes account for store purchases and iTunes in the Cloud. Please read this article for details.

How so?

I prefer not to backup to th cloud simply because backups are rather large files, and if I ever need to restore from one, I'd rather not have to wait for a 500MB+ download.

Makes sense.
