Hi there, simple question does Safari close completely, and not run in the back ground when you close the App.

We have been chewing through our data limit and have recently changed ISP's to obtain double the data limit. But we're now chewing through the new limit. Our behavior hasn't changed, infact we've become more vigilant with the way we use our data.

So my question is does safari still run after closing it i.e. Do you actually have to force quit to stop it running.

Look forward to any clever tips,

Snige.

Safari always quits completely.
If you are seeing phantom data use, my first suggestion would be iCloud. Otherwise, use Little Snitch to see what on your system is using bandwidth. If there is nothing significant, you might consider changing your wifi password or increasing its encryption strength.
