I power on my iPhone and I get the black background with the Apple icon in the middle, after a couple of minutes I see the spiral loading beneath it for a few minutes and then the iPhone restarts again, and does the same over and over again... for EVER!

How I got here?
long story short; I did "Erase All Setting and Data", after the process finished , I got the problem mentioned above.

What have I tried so far?
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! (except your genius solution - if you have any)

I'm limited with the iPhone, the only thing I'm able to do is shut it off, by clicking both the Power and Home bottom at the same time, other than that - NOTHING!

so please, please..... set my iPhone FREE!

thanks ahead for any help.

Try with the power off hold the home down and plug usb into the phone don't let go of the home button till a iTunes logo and usb logo show up then restore from back up.

The latest version of iTunes is 8, which is pretty much manditory for the 2.1 firmware.
As far as your problem, don't panic too much. so long as you synced recently, you will be able to get everything back.
You need to put the phone in DFU mode and then restore through iTunes.
After the restore is complete, then you should be asked to restore your last backup/sync.
After that, you will needto sync to get your music, vids and apps back on there.
