Is it a big deal in terms of speed or technical stats if you don't clean the cashe and cookies? I see theres option of disableing cookies, i don't understand how cookies work or what they really are and how do they help/hurt. Anybody have any suggestion if it affects iPhone in a significant way?

Cookies and such store your preferences and login information at websites. Clearing out the cache and cookies can definitely help make the phone run smoother and with less crashes in Safari. I only clear mine out every couple of weeks or so (whenever I remember basically) and my Safari runs just fine.

I rarely clear the cookies. That would require signing in again on all the webpages I'd like to have remember my logins and I'm not sure it helps at all. As far as the cache, I do clear that a every week or two.
