It seems the iPod Touch dev team discovered a MobileSafari exploit that causes a buffer overflow when a modified .TIFF file is opened, crashing Safari. This buffer overflow may allow code execution from the modified file on the Touch and iPhone, thereby gaining access to the file system. This is the same type of exploit that was used to gain access to the PSP.

Time will tell if they are on to something or not here, but at least there's hope for 1.1.1 ;)

Thank phucing god!

I was just writing up a post about how the heck do these PSP folks come up with their hacks so much more creatively?
