I have a V1 phone that I jail broke and activated some time ago. I am on ATT but not on an iPhone plan specifically.

My modem firmware is 04.02.13_G
Bootloader 4.6_M3S2

I don't want to read all of the threads to figure this out.

Can someone point me to clear instructions for moving up to the most recent version of the firmware (2.x) as possible. Will need to minimally bypass activation but would also like to jailbreak.

I don't want to follow any process that locks me out of future upgrades (or downgrades).

I also need to know if I need to undo any previous jailbreaks and uninstall any other packages before moving up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you're using a Mac, just upgrade in iTunes, download the latest release of PwnageTool and be sure to check "Activate Phone" when creating your custom firmware. If you're using a PC, do the same, but with WinPwn.

I think this statement has confused me:

To jailbreak & unlock your 2.0 + V1 iPhone in Windows, follow this guide. Credit to iClarified. To jailbreak your 2.0 + and iPhone 3G, see below.

I am not currently on 2.0. I am also not really interested in unlocking as I am on ATT just not an iPhone plan

In truth the process seems simple enough...just don't want to end up bricked.

What about "Installer" is that going to still be available?

Thanks
