would the first generation iPhone be worth anything in the future? like it in 10 years or something? I am guessing not because there are so many.

thanks!

IDK but I hope so. I think it will definitely have that sentimental value. My guess is it will be like the NES: few will remain in 10 years and if you still have one it will be cool. Its like the first of its revolution. The NES really changed how we played video games and I think the first iPhone changed how we used cell phones.

I think it doesn't hurt to keep it. One never knows. I doubt it would be worth anything even after 10 years but perhaps 20 or 30 years it might be. I wish I would have kept my old Commodore 64.

I think that the only way it would be worth something if its as new in the box etc, like a collectible action figure etc...

Keeping mine as well. Gonna update, shut down and place her back in the box. Two years with the best phone I have ever had. Then I'll open up the new G3-S and let the parties begin................ Ah Maybe I'll pass the iPhone alone to my cousin.

word of caution: don't let your old V1s sit unused for too long. If you do, your battery will die completely.

discharge the battery to about 50%, and make sure to charge (and discharge to 50%) again once every month or two.

Hey good to know, i'll have to do that..... To bad they did not make a trickle charger for the iPhone to charge and discharge
