Search problems

Is anyone having search issues? If I pull down the screen and type in a weird question I just get blank result. It doesn't give me the option to "search web" or "search app store" or "search maps". If I type in a few characters the option is at the bottom of results like normal. If it's a weird word though it stops displaying suggestions and I don't even have any options, it is just blank! Is this normal?

 

I know I could open Safari and search from there, but I coulda swore I used to be able to at least get the option to search the web from the iOS search bar. Am I trippin or what? Thanks!

 

Ok, how about if you type in a phrase? For example "can i share a paid iphone app".
Mine just goes blank with no options. I thought search was tied to Google.

Is that normal? I've always searched that way without any problems. I was just wondering if maybe some Apple services are down.

Ok, got it working correctly now! Here is what I did. Settings>General>Spotlight Search and turn off all of the apps listed under search results. Hold power button like your gonna shut off but instead of using slider to shut off, hold down home button until it brings you back to homescreen. Go back in and turn on the apps you want to show up in search results. That's it!!
Not really sure what broke the functionality in the first place, but just glad it works again!

 

I figured out which app under Spotlight search results is the culprit...Bing Web Results! That is the app causing the problem. Just turn that one off and search works like normal!
