When I reboot or start up my iPhone 4S. It says searching......., for about 2 mins then AT&T 3G comes on after the LONG wait. ANyone else experiencing this?

Yes. I noticed that too. Restarted countless times. It won't find signal in less than two minutes and sometimes it takes even longer.

Move to a better coverage area

My phone does the exact same thing. All my previous iPhones generally picked up service not even a second after the lockscreen loads, but the 4S seems to take up to 30-45 seconds for me. Once it does, though, a full 5 bars.

Its not coverage area or carrier...I am on VZW and spend most of my time in the NY metro area so coverage is excellent and I see the same thing!

It is most likely the design of the 4S with regard to antenna and dual gsm/cdma capability that causes the handset to search for the right signal
