I'm not sure I understand. I don't have SBSettings or Springtomize installed right now. When I hid apps in the past on iOS 6, I couldn't open them through Spotlight like I could on earlier firmware versions. Because of that, I stopped hiding apps and just tucked away the ones I rarely use in a "junk" folder. Does this method give you a way to open apps that are hidden? If so, it is pretty useful and I'll start hiding them again.
Apps that are hidden with SBSettings or Springtomize, but I still don't understand what this trick does. You can't open hidden apps on iOS 6 like you could on previous iOS versions. Now you have to unhide them before you can open them. I'm guessing this allows you to open them or at least view the ones that are hidden.
