I believe Apple made a serious error releasing the iPhone 5 without having a sufficient supply of adaptor cables available. Good luck trying to find one.

Funny. I purchased one and at the same time when I pre-ordered I ordered extra lightning to USB cords and adapters. I received the phone on the 21st and the cables all came in on the 28th. A little pre-planning always helps.

And there is a simple solution to make a car charger.

Get another USB cable which the stores have and those little car chargers that accept any USB cable and you have a car charger 20 for the wire 10 for the 12 volt plug. A dedicated car charger will run 25 anyway when released so for 5 bucks more you have it now

Anyone know how to get the car charger? I thought I saw it on Apples website but I can't find it anymore? I don't want a knock off, I would give Apple 30.00 lol.. My last knock off melted in the car lighter :(

Owning an iPhone 5 does come with some added expenses, but these, in my opinion, are a small price to pay for a phone that delivers as much as it does. You couldn't sell me a different cell phone if it came with five home chargers and five car chargers included!

The only thing I find disappointing is that the new adapters (30 pin to lightning) does not support video out. Kind of kills several of my accessories. At least it still supports audio.
And for those of you that are finding cables in the store, congrats. The store by me had none.
