1. click mail setting
2. click add account
3 click very bottom button (other)
4. pick pop
5. type in info as usual

the thing that I'm trying to figure out is how to set this up as push because sbcglobal mail is yahoo mail as you know and correct me if im wrong but yahoo! mail is the only supported push right? which means you would have to select yahoo at step 3 but you can't enter your email there in user name?

sbcglobal is different than Yahoo mail which supports POP3.
This is how you set it up in Settings:

POP
pop.att.yahoo.com
user name
password

SMTP
smtp.att.yahoo.com:465
user name
password

Advanced
Incoming uses SSL ON
Outgoing uses SSL ON

Both not quite right. You set up the sbcglobal account the same way to set up a new yahoo account. Setttings->Mail->Add Account->Y! Mail.

On the email field, just type your full address, like RHJS@sbcglobal.net. The "@yahoo.com" will be pushed to the right and eventually disappears when you save it.

That is how I got push email and all that with the sbcglobal account. And I did not discover this. Someone else on this forum posted this, just can't find the post right now.
