I've had this phone since iDay
only 1 scratch on the aluminum casing
and my friend is offering $225 for it
he does know about the new 3G ver. but doesn't care
I'm considering it, seeing as how the current iPhones value has taken a hit
what do you guys think?

I think you can get a little more, but it may not be worth it to you to go through the hassle of ebay or some other type deal.
I guess only you can decide. Ebay is easy to do and I have done well selling items. I don't sell much, but seem to come out quite good.

Just make sure you don't mind paying $15/month more for the new 3G iPhone data plan. If you keep the old one it probably won't change.

thanks for the reply guys
now he's offering $250 haha
i wonder if it will go any higher...
i do agree though, i could probably go the eBay route and could possible gain a bit more
not even totally sure the 3G would totally be worth the trouble... :/

i'm thinking that i'll wait till after the 3G phones come out until i sell mine - i don't think the price ill get for it will change much - in fact it may even go up - my thinking is that you will not be able to go in to a shop anymore pay your money for an iPhone and walk out because there subsidised by the carrier now you have to do a credit check and get it activated there and then...this will dramticly cut down on the amount of iPhones being jail broken or unlocked..so the v1 iPhone which will no longer be available to buy new, maay become quite desirable to someone for whatever reasons is not able to sign up for a new 3g iPhone... :laugh2:

if he had it since iDay, it's not a 16-gigger. Sorry.
