my iPhone's silent button broke while it was on silent, so i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to turn silent mode off in the meantime before i can get to an Apple store. if there is even a way.

i think all you can do is turn vibrations on if they aren't already.

I'm pretty sure that switch is the only way to turn it off and on. Is there any way you can use like a paperclip or something to switch it off?

i wish i could, but i can't =[

the switch moves, but it moves freely so it doesn't do anything.

Sounds like you're stuck until you can get it back to Apple. Opening the case would be the only way - but wouldn't be the best idea if you're wanting a Warranty replacement!

Maybe a phonecall to the Apple just in case they have a sneaky way - or may give you permission to take the switch out with a knife it that's possible, sort of thing

i'm going to go back to what i said earlier... turn vibrations on and attach some jingle bells. Effective AND festive.

I'd like to see the look on the Apple geniuses when they feast their eyes upon THAT.
