I have a question on the use of Siri dictation
Friday morning I fell and fractured my elbow and my wrist .
since then I am found that Siri dictation is incredibly useful for sending text messages emails surfing the web etc, because my right hand is at the moment unusable.

Does anybody know if there is an application that will allow me to activate Siri dictation using the volume button? Using the volume button to activate dictation (instead of the microphone button) would make single-handed iPhone use much easier. I tried using activator but activator only activates the Siri interface - it does not activate the dictation mode of Siri.

If anybody has any advice on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks!

P.S. this posting was posted using touchpad and Siri dictation on my iPhone to write text on my PC. it is a lot better than one handed typing using my left hand!

You can activate Siri to listen if you hold the phone up to your ear. This option can be turned on in the Siri settings. Not the same as dictation?

Thank you so much!
I can't believe the answer was so simple and I missed it.
Somehow I just assumed that the Siri function "lift to ear" only work for Siri commands.
Once again thanks a lot!
