I try and ask it to play music by Level 42 and everytime it says can't find any music by Level XLII. Why on earth would it convert to roman numerals when I succinctly said "forty two" I've even tried splitting the 42 up and asking for music by Level 4 2.

It's crackers, anyone have any ideas?

I'll I can think of is look in your music app and see how you have it listed. Maybe it's listed different?

Check out the settings you have set under Siri. Maybe something has been altered without you knowing. Also, you may want to try spelling out forty two.

yes i tried that also. it works fine on my GS2 but for some strange reason she/Siri just wont/cant find the music i ask it to play go figure. you would think something that almost all smart phone user use their phones for, which is music and Siri can't do it. hopefully it will get fixed.

I have some questions on that article. Why would development of Siri be more expensive than other iOS features? And it says Apple wants to get the 4S to 40 hours of standby time? That means they want to decrease it by 160 hours? They claim on the 4S spec page on the Apple web site http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html up to 200 hours.

So they claim up to 200 hours but in reality currently it's less than 40? Wow....I knew Apple inflated stuff but that's just flat out lies.

This "40 hours standby" is only what some german website has reported. I don't read german, but the google translation is far from clear on just what the heck they mean. I suspect something lost in translation between macerkopf and Appleinsider.

I'm guessing the back end infrastructure to support voice recognition of each 4S and it's free.

Are German and U.S. hours kind of like the Dollar and the Euro?

    I dunno....

Das erklärte Ziel sind 40 Stunden Standby bei 10 Stunden Benutzung.

    Translates to

The stated goal is 40 hours standby with 10 hours of use.

Seems pretty clear to me. Is anyone getting over 40 hours of standby now?

No, US hours is to German hours as "a smidge" is to 1.6539 grams.

Read the whole article and tell me you have 100% confidence in that. Six sentences before that is, "The battery is designed for approximately 200 hours." Context matters.

Furthermore, this is essentially un-cited information. No reason to take it seriously.

Could probably get that kind of standby by sleeping it in airplane mode.

I didn't post it. I am questioning it. But it made me look at some other things like CLAIMED battery life and actual battery life.

How come you don't jump NPA and say his link is to a BS article that shouldn't be taken seriously? :p

yes, because that's what everyone does with their phone. Makes it so much more useful that way.

I bet stand by time would be good if you just charged it fully and shut it off too.
