Does anybody think it will be possible to enable Siri on the iPhone 4 via a jailbreak tweak? In the same way voice control could be enabled on the ipad?

who knows. depends on how dependent it is on hardware.

Was voice control ever enabled for the 3G in iOS 3?

Ih8snow mentioned on his twitter that it may only be a certain type of file that is restricting the use to the 4s

i really don't want to have to purchase the 4S just to use Siri but i also understand that if Siri is hardware related, i'm screwed...

pls devteam! do your magic!

You will get bored of Siri after two days. It's a gimmick.

I think for some it will be nothing more than a gimmick. Others will rely heavily on it (read: people with accessibility needs). I for one would love speech-to-text on the keyboard, so I hope they come up with a jailbreak solution.

I wonder what those wonderful devs can come up with :)

can you type questions to Siri, or is it only voice recognition?

You can type with the current app. But apparently the app will be going offline come Oct 15.

How much of the new feature will be local and how much will it rely on server interaction? I would think Apple could block jailbreak access on the server side.

I think this is what will happen - but I hope the dev team will find a solution.
