smtp outgoing mail fails to connect 4 out of 5 AT&Tempts...

I know the setting are correct. I can pull down mail everytime. BUt my out going mail only connect to the server 1 out of every 5 or so attempts.

This is on edge or 802.11. Any ideas.

i've got the same problem but i don't think mine ever connects....i haven't been able to send mail for about a week.

didn't help, anyone else?

I fixed mine.

1. Sync your iPhone.
2. Uncheck the tab to sync email.
3. Undock phone
4. delete pop mail account
5. power cycle phone
6. click email button, you will be prompted to set up a mail account
7. manually set up your pop mail (make sure you have your settings from your provider)
8. It should now work.

The auti sync had some incorrect settings for me anyway. This fixed it. I am golden now.
