Has anyone used SquareTrade to insure their iPhone? If so, have you had experience making a claim? Are they're legit?

I just bought a policy with them. $49.99 for 3 yrs w/ accidental damage. does have a $50 deductible for accidental though

Thats pretty good, considering that Apple would charge you a lot more to fix it...

SquareTrade is pretty neat.

Anyone ever used them/know if they're legit?
Hi Blewis1984,

Jill from SquareTrade here. Yep, we're legit. Check our our reviews on Nextag, ePinions, and ResellerRatings.com to see for yourself.

Lots of folks ask how it can be so cheap compared to other services and the answer is pretty simple -- we don't have to pay retail markup because everything is done directly with you and managed online.

Also, I've been posting some cool iPhone related stuff on our blog as of late, so check it out at http://blog.squaretrade.com

How did you get it so cheap? According to the site, it's $59.99 for 3 year coverage plus $65 for the accidental (16g iPhone).

if the iPhone breaks, would they pay what you paid? 200 or 300....or could you put in that the iPhone is like 700 and they would still cover it....I know its more for that but would it work?

I would just like accidental damage. Apple warranty is good enough for non-accidental.

I kinda same boat here...
Not really $700, but if I break my 16G $299, you will have to pay $499 to replace it....

Provided you put in the item's replacement cost (i.e. the unsubsidized price you'd have to pay to get a new one), that's what we'll pay out if something goes wrong with your item.
