Here is where I downloaded my summerboard from.
SSHed following files in the following directory

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/SMBPrefs.app
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/

Hope this works!
Regards,
Madhur

!UPDATE!

Get the dock to work by replacing the following files with dock images of your choice.
SBDockBG
SBDockBG2

/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app

Than your dock should work too!
P.S - Back up all files, if you ever want to revert to the original.

In
is this for jailbroken 1.1.3?

thanks but need a little more help

I followed your method but the on problem I'm having is when i hit the SMBPrefs icon it open for a minute to a blank screen then closes and suggestions? Did I miss something? Thanks

@ SEB481
Download summerboard from the link specified in my prior post. ON YOUR COMPUTER.
Learn how to use SSH on 1.1.3, if you do not know already here is how i think its done.
Re-Instal BSD Subsystem, if not installed, find it in installer and install it.
Than install Open SSH.
Than buy a app called transmit, or a other Free equivalent.
Create a new SFTP Connection,
Put in your server(iPhone Wifi settings)
your username is root, password is alpine.
Hit connect.
NOW....
Copy paste the following files through SFTP(Transmit or SSH) in the respected directories on your iPhone.

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/SMBPrefs.app
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/

These files are there in the above mentioned download.

To get the dock working ask me for a dock you want and I will make a copy, for you to paste in the following directory

/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app

If you do already have a dock image (probably named Dock.png) on your COMPUTER, THAN using Transmit AKA SSH, make two copies of the Dock.png
Rename one SBDockBG
the other SBDockBG2
and paste them into
/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app
I am going to sleep,
Any one who knows how to use SSH should not have any problems, cause in my opinion i have made this post taking Newbs in consideration(As i am one of em)

@ Wild turkey - did you follow these steps correctly
SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/SMBPrefs.app
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/

@chrismmm - I use macintosh... so I have never dealt with iBrickr
Your Host name is "root"

so... the new SMB doesn't see themes I d/l from installer. but it DOES see about 5 themes left over from my 1.0.2 days. so, anyone know where are these files are located? I want to delete those old ones and put new themes in that directory.

I've been combing through ibricker, but can't seem to find them.

I just put it on my 1.1.3 (upgraded via Nate's soft upgrade) and it seems fine. It found a few themes that seemed to be left over from my previous version including Leopard, Louie Mantia, Panther and SummerBoard. However it didn't have all the themes I had previously, including my favorite Phiberglass. I was able to add it from the installer with no problem, working fine! :cool:

the same themes were leftover on mine. it's because they were installed to a directory that is left untouched during restoring.

x696x just informed me they are located here if you ever want to delete the old ones:

var/mobile/Library/Summerboard/Themes

how do you use SSH to add themes...i'm confused how you can download something from the computer and add it to the phone considering independence doesn't support 1.1.3

I haven't updated summerboard in months and it worked right off the bat. Downloaded themes worked when I installed them after jailbreaking 1.1.3.

Uhmmm i do not know if this is sarcasm or a general query
anyhow this is just for 1.1.3, its because summerboard wont install on 1.1.3.

Summerboard installed and works fine for me on 1.1.3. I'm on a JB 1.1.3 and installed Summerboard via the Installer program.
