Okay I wanted to buy Switch Easy Rebel for my iPhone 4 [GSM] & searched in ebay & found few starting from 5 USD. Are these genuine cases ? Has anyone tried them ?

The box / packing showed in pics etc looks good. The seller's feedback also quite good :

Valid question that I cannot answer. I purchased 3 cases and they finally arrived, one was in the wrong package, it had clearly been opened (so, I suspect it had been returned), one has a slight sag at the top maybe 1 to 2 mm.

The third is perfect.

Took nearly a month to arrive.

I do wonder, how cheap are they to make, that they could (who would really want to) counterfit them? I mean, let's assume that they cost about $3 to make? Switcheasy is really copping big bucks on profit?

Counterfit - how much cheaper could they be made, with all the extras and package, etc, and free/cheap shipping?

No way they can be made for $1? - that's what it would take no?

My guess (after all this), is this, these are real, all of them are - there are no fakes, there could be factory seconds or those that 'fall off the truck' from the manufacturer....

I know that high end/big ticket item are faked, watches, clothes, leather goods, golf clubs, but a case? It's relatively cheap in the first place.

I was offered a refund for the 2 cases are not up to snuff, I may tell them to just send me 2 replacements, not sure yet.

Good luck, it's a great case, very thin - does NOT bulk up the phone, is a tad slippery when new, seems to gain some tack (not like the jelly/silicon cases) after a few days.

I cannot swear they are or are not. I am suggesting that they they may be seconds. Or something like seconds. I just can't believe there is enough of a market for anyone to make knock off cheap cases for something that is already relatively cheap in the first place.

I have 3, different vendor. One is saggy at the top maybe 1 to 2 mm, they are replacing it. Another has bad screen protectors they do ot adhere Nd it arrive in the wrong package. They are replacing it too.

Mine were about $10 each. I can't say they are real or not nor good or not. They are probably ok. That is the risk inherent in buying off eBay at discounted prices.

He is not on ebay any longer - which does not bode well for the authenticity of the cases, that said he did offer me either a refund OR replacement (which is what the people at Switcheasy claim ONLY authorized sellers must do), he had originally requested photos of the issues I claimed, then said no not necessary would send refund ($20), I felt that for the low cost that at his discretion he could refund or replace, so we are going the replace route.
