For Benny:

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/f1-williams-to-announce-kimi-raikkonen-deal/

Williams is almost ready to announce Kimi Raikkonen's return to Formula One for 2012, according to media reports.

"(The) Raikkonen (agreement) is almost there," a source inside the famous British team is quoted by FAZ newspaper.

Italy's Autosprint reports that the funding is coming from Qatar.

Williams on Wednesday hinted at the deal by revealing that a memorandum of understanding with Mowasalat, a Qatari company, was signed in Doha for the use of the team's simulator technology.

"The funding for the 'Iceman' is coming from the heat of Qatar," said the Italian magazine.

The Finnish broadcaster MTV3 said the sponsorship of a Qatar bank is the next step.

That will validate a contract that Raikkonen, 32, reportedly signed recently "and the announcement will be made in Abu Dhabi" next weekend.

The Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell said the 2007 world champion is Williams' "first choice" to be Pastor Maldonado's new teammate.

"He (Raikkonen) has been at Grove several times for talks," the report added.

that's Awesome, all I've heard were rumors so far. Kimi is the right guy for this team, they need experience and someone who's aggressive regardless of the track's conditions. that's a good deal by Williams.
Bring the good'ole days back, Time to watch F1 again.

This thread won't die.

Did you hear about New jersey in 2013? That one I'm going to be able to go since I'm only 30 minutes from jersey. The east coast should've been their number one choice in the first place.

There's a rumor going about now that the Austin GP is gonna get delayed until 2013. But it's not exactly a well-cited rumor, so who knows. Probably nothing.

Anyway, I'm excited about both. But I'll probably only be able to go to the New Jersey one in 2013. But I have no idea where I'm gonna be next week, let alone in 2013.

Doesn't SPEED show all the races? I don't have it, so I'm not sure. I just VPN into the UK and stream them from BBC iPlayer.

Speed shows moto GP races, or at least they used to, but I have it at home not at work so I rarely watch them too.
I haven't seen any formula1 races on the listings.

Formula 1 drivers also paid tribute to super Sic' and Dan Wheldon by either wearing number 58 on their helmets or the indycar racer name.
Racing lost 2 great competitors this year.

I think I've got a link at home, but it isn't on my phone for some reason. Xmarks has been janky lately.

I prefer watching the BBC feed anyway. Coverage in the US sucks.

Whatever you have it helps, can't find it anywhere besides Justin.tv which is in very low quality most of the time.

My father in Italy watches the damn race on the regular antenna.

US TV coverage of nearly any sport that's not US-based is pathetic. Football (as in the original brand), rugby, athletics, F1, and on and on.

That's one thing I liked much better in the UK - there was actually interest in, and good coverage of the whole gamut of sports from round the world.
