I don't think there's much of a debate or reasoning. It's just how much storage you want vs. how much you are willing to pay.

I think the only debate would really be who's keeping the first iPhone and who is going to go to the new one. 8gb vs. 16gb is old news.

I was excited at first, but now that I think about it more I'm still disappointed in lack of improvement in the camera and lack of MMS. I'm going to wait and see what real world 3g speeds are on it before I completely make up my mind.

The 8 is definitely not enough if you are into video. I can only fit 15 half hour tv episodes on my 8. 16 isn't enough either.

I'm going with the 16Gb cause I don't have an iPhone yet and I want the top of the line iPhone ya kno:p

+ some people are telling me that the 16Gb iPhone 3G comes only in white? I just happen to really want the ipod white version;)

I agree with Aggie. The size is going to be a distant second thought to whether or not to make the upgrade.

That being said, I'll be getting the 16GB (wishing it was 32GB ).

yes, what he said. Also I want to see how this wonderful battery holds up to 3G and GPS. I know it depends on usage, but it will be interesting to see if it delivers as Steve claims.
