Nice band.

You're still wearing it upside down? Watch crowns typically face to the right, so it looks off. I'm just curious why you don't fold the glove forward a little or switch the watch to the opposite wrist at the gym if the crown gets in the way?

the glove isn't really foldable. The collar has a few layers of elastic and velcro. I don't really see the point in moving it to the opposite wrist. That would mean I just have to operate it with my left hand.

My New Band just came in last night... Loop Style band. I like it. Adds some weight to the watch.

Here's another band from the seller in Utica, NY on eBay. It's a magnetic Milanese loop clone. The magnet is super strong. I put it on and waved my hands around like a mad person; it's not going anywhere. It's also pretty light and mesh bends like fabric. Also, no hair pulls.

What I don't like about it (and why it's already been repackaged and sent back) is that the band isn't wide enough. It almost seems like the manufacturer took the cheap road so they could use the same band for the 38mm and the 42mm. If you look at the pics the band should be the same size as the lug it's connected to. On this band it's short a mm or two on each side and to me it just doesn't look right. So for that, it went back.

A few pics...

Looks like they got the lugs right. I'm finding what is stopping me from getting any after market bands is the really ugly "shower handle" bars on the lugs. In fact, the original Apple bands which have those I also don't like. I prefer the look of a band which blends into the body of the watch, like the OEM Leather Loop or the OEM Metal Bracelet.
I will buy the first metal link bracelet I see which achieves this properly.

Or more to the point, it may not be the bands but the mounting lugs I suppose.

This is what I don't like very much. The mount needs to be a nicely blended part of the band for me taste.

These guys seem to have really nailed it down.

Waiting for it to be available for purchase.

Utica Guy (FreedomUnlock09) has a link bracelet clone up on eBay. It's a preorder but will ship out in the next few weeks. It's worth the little wait for the ease of a return in the U.S., if necessary. I ended up getting if for $48.99 with the promotional coupons available in the checkout area.

That's exactly what I have in mind. To bad they don't like Canadians. Poor shipping policy

That's too bad. There are some other options on eBay direct from China but they seem to be almost double the price for some reason.

The leather loop clone arrived today from eBay. It can be had for $35.99. If you decide to go with this buyer just be warned that even though it says he ships from NJ the product does indeed come from China first, so expect a 7-12 day delivery time.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with the cloned loop. It feels exactly the same as the Apple loop did and the texture looks nearly indentical. The magnets are also just as strong. It passed the flailing arms test with flying colors. The color is also pretty close to Apple's; it appear to be a dark blue in room light but really brightens up in sunlight.

I really only have two (minor) gripes about it. One of the connectors (bottom left) is just a hair off; you'll be able to see it in some on the pictures . All the others are just fine. I hear this is pretty much the norm across the board with the loop clones so I was expecting it. It's also a bit longer than Apple's version. Looking at the picture of Apple loop in my first post I'd guesstimate it's about an inch longer. So if you have tiny wrists this one may not be for you. If you hunt around on eBay there are some sellers that do offer different sizes that are closer to Apple's sizes. For the price I paid I really can't complain. Only time will how the band will hold up to abuse. We'll just have to wait and see.

Here are some pics. Oh, and I have a link band clone that should arrive tomorrow

Wow, that really looks like the Apple strap. I just might jump on that for a back up strap. I bought the black Apple Leather Loop but I could go with a different color also. Did you see any tan color ones?

The seller I bought has brown and beige listed. Probably equivalent to Apple's Stone and Dark brown.

I'm not a fan of the stone. It looks like a band-aid.

I kind of liked the stone color until you mentioned that. You're totally right, though. It's ruined forever for me now.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the web photos. But when I looked at them in the Apple Store I found that they actually really looked good. To me anyway. If I buy another Leather Loop, that's the color I would get, the tan color. Or stone I guess it's called.

I took a chance and ordered the black version of this from China, delivery in a few weeks, the pictures look impressive, a true Apple link band clone (minus the quick resize mechanism).

So one of the link clones arrived today. This is the one from Freedomunlock09 on eBay. Link to the band is a couple posts up.

Overall it's okay. It was a little difficult to size but once you get the hang of it it goes pretty quickly. It's definitely brushed stainless steel but it seems like it might be a little shinier than Apple's version.

I had to remove all available links so it would fit my 172mm wrist. So if you have a smaller wrist this one may not work out for you unless you like a loose fit.

The butterfly clasp opens and closes very easily. It doesn't have the hidden part on the inside but it's still pretty comfortable.

What I like the least about it are the gaps between the links. If you look from the right angle you can see the metal that holds the links together. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it may bother others. I can see dirt and grime getting in there down the road - not exactly sure how I'll clean it out.

Overall I give it a 'B'. I only paid $45ish for it so it's worth it to me until something better comes down the road.

I also have one of the link clones en route that has the links along the entire length of the band. I do like that style better so I'm looking forward to comparing it.

On to the pictures...
