Just came back from the ATT store I will be at tomorrow and noticed they have a security guard in a black suit waiting inside by the door. Anyone else notice guards? Now with approx. 1800 ATT stores, 1 guard for each store, 2-3 for large stores could equal the 2,000 employees, and the fact that they said "temporary" makes this theory seem believable...any thoughts?

Additionally this makes me suspect they have received their shipment already for tomorrow.

BTW, my store said it is first come first serve. no tickets.

I heard that they said the iPhones are at the fedex warehouse or something.

Everyone hears things but why would they hire a security guard to be there today? The only reason I could imagine is that the shipment has arrived or will arrive later today. I cant see every unit being kept in a warehouse and all being shipped out at once on Friday, makes no sense when security measures could be taken.

Security is a totally separate issue.

The AT&T Store I plan on purchasing from
had a county Sheriff Deputy “Randy” sitting in a plain
domestic automobile in the parking lot this morning.

No line formed yet, and he was posted there for public
safety, property protection, building surveillance, security,
etc. His roll has absolutely nothing to do with additional
AT&T temporary employees.
Any time you get a bunch of anxious people gathered
in any setting, it makes sense to be ready when someone
looses their patience.

Let’s all hope this aspect of the iPhone launch
is not called upon, and we’re all in, out, and home safe.

Don’t let the fever pitch skew your senses.

Be cool.

Couldnt agree more with you but I would figure at least one negative headline will come out of tomorrows activites, you know how the media always will find a negative story out of something positive.......

Just got off the phone with my brother who works at the FedEx warehouse in San Francisco. He said all the Apple Boxes he saw last night were marked as marketing material. He will update me once he gets to work with more info.
