Do you have a, 'throwaway' phone? A phone that you pop your SIM card into, on days where you'll be doing a lot of labor, or don't want to have to worry about hurting your precious baby? If so, what is it? How much did it cost you?

I used to be like this with my BB Curve, but now since I got the Bold, I can't/won't do this. It's equal to the iPhone in my book now.
I would say just get something simple like a Razr.

Something like this.

Go cheaper. They're out there. Don't have an old cell?

I heard a go phone would work with our sims. Can anyone confirm this? I don't believe it.

Any phone would work with any SIM... (But they have to be either unlocked or for the same network)

I have a cheap Motorola Go Phone that I bought for when I'm doing a lot of loading and unloading at work. It works great.

I have the flip phone I was using before I got the V1. Too lazy to go upstairs and see the brand, but as you can imagine it is a basic cheapy.

I loved my Curve. Unfortunately, One night I was out car shopping and it must have fallen out of my truck, or pocket. And I when I went back to look for it, I couldn't find it in the FOOT of snow that was on the ground. But the next day, I bought my first iPhone!

I use my v1 as my backup phone. My backup to the backup is one of the 5 Razrs I have sitting around.

I lent a friend of mine an old Nokia while she waited for her 3g to get in and she trashed it mountain biking. She bought me some inexpensive Motorola and I use it.

I have some old Samsung I got about 4 years ago, don't happen to recall the brand name, but it has some great memories!

So I'm able to use my sim card from my iPhone 3G in another cheaper phone when running? I read somewhere that the sim card won't work in another phone - didn't understand why. I'm thrilled to hear that I can, if I'm understanding things correctly here.

I pop my sim card out of my 3G and use it in my Treo 650 and in a Motorola throw away when I just need a phone and don't care if it gets damaged or lost. It works just fine.

One of my N73 Music Edition phones is used as a throwaway phone by me sometimes. It cost about 431 USD when I first bought it. But actually, that phone does everything except WiFi.
