I tried with 3 different fingers and my fingerprint reader doesn't work. Help! What am I doing wrong?

Make sure are leaving finger there until it vibrates before you lift it each time when programming your print.

You have to press the sleep/wake button. With the iPhone awake, press your finger lightly on the home button/fingerprint sensor.

You made it through the setup process ok? Your fingerprints are registered?

I did all of that and nothing. I see others are having issues as we'll.

I'd suggest setting up a new fingerprint. When you do, be sure to move it around in between each scan. This will allow Touch ID to get a better scan and might be less temperamental when you try to unlock your iPhone.

I did have an issue with my first fingerprint. Odd, it was set up and nothing I did would make it recognize my finger. I haven't had an issue after rescanning, so maybe it has something to do with the scan.

I tried using different finger still nothing. Is the phone defective?
