I just realized I didn't transfer pictures and videos to my mac in iPhoto, I had my iPhone 5s with iOS 7 then.

Is there a way for me to get those pics and video now? Of course I'm using iOS 8 in my iPhone 6 now. I did backup my iPhone 5s before I updated to iOS 8. Is there a way for me to get specially the videos I recorded from January 2014? I don't use iCloud for pictures. Thank you all for any possible solution.

You still own the iPhone 5s?
No, I sold it long ago. BTW, I'm sorry about posting my question here, I thought I did it under iPhone 6, I don't know how to move it.

If you never synced it to your Mac, and no longer have access to the phone, and didn't use iCloud or any other cloud services for photos and videos while the phone was still yours, I see no way to recover it.

Did you ever make a full backup of your iPhone 5s using iTunes? If you haven't deleted that backup, then you should be able to restore your iPhone 6 to that full backup of your iTunes 5s using iTunes. The backups are dated so you can pick a backup that includes the videos you're interested in. Note that doing this will erase anything you're currently storing on your iPhone—you cannot merge a previous backup with a current state of the iPhone.

We plebes don't have sufficient privileges to move posts. You could ask a moderator for assistance if you want it moved.
If you ever paid attention you'd see that it was already done. Plebe.

Yes, I did a full backup of the iPhone 5s in my Mac. It sounds that the best solution now will be to wait for the iPhone 6s and then try to back up the old iPhone 5s file to the iPhone 6. Am I right? Thank you.

Thats sounds about right to me, unless you're in a real hurry to see those old videos right this minute! :)
No, it will only be a long week : ). I will just wait and try it later. Btw, I'm running iOS 9 in my iPhone 6 now, it is possible to downgrade? I didn't know that could be done?

You can downgrade to 8.4.1 before the signing window closes. Do it very soon to be sure.

iPhone 6 cannot use anything lower than iOS 8.0.

At this point, you can only downgrade to iOS 8.4.1, and here's how.

Apple stopped signing iOS 8.4 on August 24, 2015, so you cannot downgrade to that.
Sorry I'm not totally understanding now. If I downgrade to 8.4.1 I will be able to backup the files that are in iOS 7. But I won't be able to backup iOS 7 from iOS 9? For what we were saying my understanding was that I could back up from any iOS version as long as I had the files of whatever version is in iTunes.

Your only options are 9.0 and 8.4.1. You can use a backup that was made on iOS 7 on either of them.

That is what I thought I was understanding at first. Thank you very much!

I could reply but I don;t want to litter the thread with redundant replies.:D
A thousand apologies; I was in the middle of composing my message when a notification popped up that someone had replied. I didn't view your reply before I posted mine.

Plus, I thought my reply was more elegant, and covered more bases. Font was nicer, too. :D (Joke)
The banter is cute but can be confusing for folks who come here for information and guidance. Sure, the social aspect of eiC is what sets it apart from other forums, but not everyone needs to suffer it just to get a simple answer to their question. Take some time, think about what you're saying. Refresh the page if you've been composing your post for a while to see if others have responded in the meantime. Second guess your snarky reply once in a while, even if you're the coolest moderator on the east coast. I love eiC and all the friends I've made here over the years but sometimes it's embarrassing when a thread gets convoluted with so much distraction. I've been guilty of it myself.

Take a step back and consider the goal of our endeavor. Are we serving ourselves or a community? I could literally, yes literally, feel the OP's frustration in the midst of this thread.

For your consideration,

@Kadelic
