I have my notifications set up the same on the iPad Air and the iPhone 6 Plus. The twitter notifications come through fine on the iPad Air but not on the iPhone 6. Any ideas?

Have you checked Settings - Notifications to see if it changed? If you reset settings at some point then you have to redo them all.

OK, you said they are set up the same. That is strange then.

Right, I double-checked, and the two devices are set up identically as far as notifications.
Hmmmm, two things you might want to double-check—

1) Do Not Disturb mode engaged on the iPhone?

Oops. Sorry. Only the one thing right at this moment. :(

Do you use the standard Twitter App or another Twitter Client? I myself use Tweetbot. It's notification settings are actually inside the software.

Check the notification settings in the Twitter app and also in the notifications section in the Settings app.

Good suggestion, coop1701, I currently use the standard twitter app (on both devices). Europa, yes I have checked both places several times. All set up correctly.

Deleting and then reinstalling it will prompt you to set up the notifications again which might fix it.

Tried that also. Weird. I got a notification that two people favorited my son's tweet but not a notification of his tweet. All three people are set to notifications on.

Is there a chance he logged into his Twitter account from your device… and forgot to log out?

No chance at all, but what is also weird is that he also does not receive notifications of MY tweets. I haen't been able to test, but I don't believe he is the ONLY one whose tweets I am not getting notifications from.

Maybe you could try this… Go to your son's profile, click the gear icon, then click on "Turn on mobile notifications." Have him do the same on his end for your profile:

As a last resort, download a free Twitter client, set it up for notifications. Hide it in a folder with Newsstand and continue using the Twitter app. You'll get your notifications from the client. I've done that before. Or just use the client as coop suggests.

Right, we both had already turned on mobile notifications for each other. In fact, I keep checking it to see if somehow it got turned off.

I did look at other free twitter apps and didn't really see one except for a couple that are only for posting?

I used Echofon for a while. It had notifications that worked well. I finally got Tweetbot when it was on sale. Echofon had added too many ads. But it would work great just for the notifications.

So notifications are working now, but not for one or more of the people you follow. Okay, I would try deleting and reinstalling it again, but this time log out first. I've seen that extra step help with notifications in the past.

Thanks. I'll look at that one.
