I just was given a laptop it's a year old with a AMD dual core processor, the OS was wiped "by accident" how ever they managed that lol. Anyway I want to load Ubuntu on it and have a new toy, currently waiting for it to load to my old laptop so to burn a install disc. I was wondering if iTunes will work on Ubuntu anyone out there running it? Or know if iTunes supports Linix OS?

Yes, you can install iTunes on it. I haven't tried it myself since I don't have a need for iTunes on my Ubuntu partition. If you need any help, this is a great resource:

You aren't going to sync your phone with this laptop, right? Media and audio players are included in the OS if that's all you need.

Thanks this will help a bunch, I knew there was a way to run Windows programs on Ubuntu but didn't know how extensive it went.

Just curious - why do you need iTunes on it? Your iPhone is synced with your Mac, right?
