I have a MacBook Air and hotspot cable connection that according to a ping test has the required speed but everytime I try to download the installer it stops at 995 mb?

I tried to download the installer through iTunes but it just transferred me back to the App Store.

    Anyone have a another way?

    Many thanks for any help!

Thank you for the link acosmichippo. I'm a little scared of doing terminal changes. I found an answer in another discussion of this error at Apple Support Communities. Sorry, I can post the link because I've not had 10 messages. Anyway, user "rydnx" posted a response 10/23/13 at 5:03am that had you install
HotSpot Shield for Mac and then download from the App Store. I took under an hour to download the installer that automatically started installing Mavericks.

Worked really well and the HotSpot Shield for Mac did not slow down my download!

Thank you again for your help. I don't know what I would have done without the forum here and at Apple.
