This was from @chris not long ago when I contacted him about this exact issue.

"I think I've found the issue. The changes I've made *might* work with the existing app. I have a feeling it might affect the update, which is in the works. If all goes well, I'll be submitting to the App Store tomorrow for approval."

From what I have heard, it can take a while for even just app updates to get approved.

Normally iTunes gets it done in a couple of days. But with them being closed over the holidays, they're maybe running behind.

Try using mobile Safari. The mobile template is nice, notifications work, it doesn't have any bugs and you'll have full access to all the features and subforums.

I've also noticed no notifications in the app. So for those of us that prefer to use the app should use the mobile template?
Then why even bother having the app? ;)

    If you need notifications.

    No reason. :D

The app still works and shows notifications when you enter it and refresh. I still use it and check it as well myself until it gets fixed. No big deal to me. As for an alternative, nah. I like using the app. :)

I posted about this several days ago. @chris said the App Store is taking longer to approve updates.

Yep. Not only does iTunes close for the holidays, but there's usually a mad rush of developers updating during December.

I was just about to post on this very same issue. I've not received any notifications from the app since the forum update and I deleted the app thinking that if I reinstall, everything should be fine. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with this issue. Is there a way to be notified in email or on the app store when a new version of the eIC app is available?

I wish! I wish! I check the app store manually anyways so it's all good.

Right now the app is known to have the notifications issue. Hopefully it'll be fixed in an update soon. :)

Please start reading threads before posting advice. If you had read this thread, you would see that it is a bug the administrator is aware of and an app update through Apple is pending approval.

I've seen 4 notifications today from the iCafe app today. These are the first in a while.
    YMMV

Is there an update to the iCafe app? I am seeing in the app store that it was last updated Jun 6, 2014 but I remember that an update was coming... ETA?

Yes, it was submitted on Monday. It's current waiting for review. ETA is tough, since I don't want to assume an approval. However, typical release times have been roughly a week after submission, give or take a few days.

Do I want to wait to download the iCafe app or just use the one that is already in the App Store? I want to be sure I'm receiving notifications.
