Unable to turn on backup to iCloud

    I seem to be unable to turn on backup to iCloud on my iPad. The switch doesn't move and stays grey. A previous back was incomplete and I even went as far as to delete the account and start over but no luck.

    I suspected company security certificate due to a company Exchange email account but that can also not be the reason because my iPhone back up perfectly also with the same Exchange account.

    Hard reset? I don't know really. But try a hard reset. Hold the top power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release. I don't see how an email account would cause this. Let us know if this works. There's other fixes to try.

    Hi Ledsteplin

    Thanks, not sure between hard reset and updating to the IOS v 8 software which one resolved the error but it is backing up now.
