Well finally got around to buying a new iPhone since mine was stolen. It should be here tomorrow, and I'm assuming it will ship with 1.1.2

I have read a few articles about unlocking the 1.1.2 firmware to be used with T-Mobile, but I have got mixed feedback. The site I used to rely on for info is : i.unlock.no, but they say it isn't possible?!?

So is it possible to unlock 1.1.2? Could I just set the phone in restore mode and install 1.1.1? I heard something about the baseband needing to be downgraded?

Really I'm just a bit confused, I searched the forums, but it gets a bit overwhelming, so any clarification is appreciated.

Thank You, Brad

You can not currently unlock a 1.1.2 OOTB. However if the phone was originally 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 and upgraded to 1.1.2, then you can unlock the phone.

Hope that clears up the confusion.
