    This upcoming gadget will plug into your car's OBD-II port and collect and process data such as engine trouble codes.

    If you get in a crash (and this is still in beta), it can "use your phone's data connection to report the crash to a local 911 emergency service with your name, location, and vehicle type," and also text family and friends to let them know of your drunken mishap.

    Has this not been out for ages? There are connectors you can buy off eBay and along with an expensive app they can log fault codes etc....

    Interesting. I had been looking at CarMD, But this sounds better and cheaper.
