Hi All,

Sorry if I'm asking a questions that's already been asked. Its just a bit confusing.

I have a

iPhone 3gs
Baseland: 05.13.04
Version: 4.0.1 (8A306)
Jailbreaked though - Jailbreakme.com
Unlocked through - Ultrasnow

I want to now update the iOS to atleast 4.1 as I need it for an important App. It won't let me install it on the 4.0.1.

How can I update and not loose the jailbreak or the unlock ?

Thanks !

There is no way to update your firmware/baseband without losing your JB/Unlock. Sorry!

BEST ADVICE: If you have your SHSH blobs saved, and your sure the new baseband with 4.1. is unlockable (make SURE of this), download the 4.1 firmware (can't link to it here...a simple Google search will bring it up), then download TinyUmbrella, start the TSS Server (check the log to make sure it's accepting connections), then start iTunes, and hit Shift + Restore on a PC (Option + Restore) on a Mac, choose the 4.1 firmware, and upgrade. You'll have to use limera1n or greenpois0n to re-jailbreak, and not sure how to unlock....but that's about your only option. Good luck, and refer to redmondpie.com for detailed walkthroughs.
