I have a mac mini running Mac OS X 10.4.11 It is 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 with 1 GB RAM and an 80 GB Hard drive. I would like to upgrade the OS but can not find anything but Snow Leopard and I don't think it will run that system. Any ideas?

i find that with the older machines, especially with the ibm processors, you shouldn't upgrade. actually, for best speed, you should downgrade to the os that is before the one that it came with. even with 1 gig of memory, the most you should try to do is tiger if not panther. good luck mate!

Snow Leopard (10.6) is not compatible with PPC macs. The highest you can upgrade your mac to is Leopard (10.5), which is not officially available to purchase anymore. You will have to go to third-party vendors to find old stock (like amazon or newegg).
