I am thinking about for my next upgrade going to an iPhone 5C or 5S. Cost is a bit of a consideration as the 5C is $100 less. Are there other differences between the two models? Would it be best to just wait for the iPhone 6? I have been satisfied with the 4S and could possibly hold out another year.

The 5s has a fingerprint scanner, faster processor, aluminum casing (opposed to plastic on the 5c) and an improved camera with extra features. I recommend a 5s if you can afford it. It's going to be 11 months before the iPhone 6 is released, so now is a good time to upgrade if you are eligible.

I'd grab a 5s too. In addition to the above mentioned points, it will almost certainly retain its value better than the 5c. The extra $100 you spend now will be worthwhile whether or not you choose to upgrade to the next iPhone. If you sell the 5s to fund a future upgrade you will recoup more of your money, and if you keep it you'll be happy with it for longer than you would a 5c. Just my opinion anyway.

I used my early EDGE upgrade and got an iPhone 5S. So far I am happy with it. One of the features that I really like is using your thumb or finger to unlock your phone.
