AMC has been appealing to people on their Facebook page to stop this. Shame...

I haven't checked since last night so I don't know if it happened, but I would hate to see comedy central go, even thou I rarely watch that lately also.

Does anyone know if you can get out of your contract because of this or does the contract state channels and be dropped at any time?

Sorry, I must be mistaken! Breathe breathe breathe, haha
we lost the jersey shore, teen mom, 16 and pregnant....all the good educational programming offered by MTV and VH1, you know, the music channels.
I'm kind of bummed for spike and comedy central, and sponge bob ofcourse.

that's better than nothing. My fiancée is very mad now, they cut half of her shows. Thank god for breaking bad coming up.

Agreed. Man if AMC went away I would be done with Directv. No way I could miss Breaking Bad.

To a certain degree I don't blame them for getting upset with Viacom trying to charge more since you can get most of the programming for free online. Probably the cable companies behind Viacom's price increase to squeeze the satellite companies out of subscribers.
