Does anyone know a really good video converter for Mac OS? I'm using "Smart Converter" right now and the quality seems really good. The only problem is that it takes a long time and you're unable to batch files. It takes about 45 to an hour and 15 mins per movie file. I need something to convert AVI to MP4. Any help is appreciated.

Check out Handbrake. Works great and you can batch.

I rarely use it anymore, since Air Video does live conversion as you stream over WiFi and 3G, but Handbrake is the best video converter.

I LOVE Air Video. Air playing movies to Apple TV is awesome.

yeah, air video stream and play movies to Apple TV is awesome. Well, for video encoding , I use ifunia and handbrake as a combination, one for straight convert, and the other when a little bit of tweaking needed.
