From time to time I get an email. Advertising Micromat tool 8.
I haven't purchased it. I know that in the past it was said to not use virus software. Is this still the case, or is advisable to use virus software, now?
    Thanks, Allan

I think that antivirus apps are not really needed. There is a small percentage of viruses that are written for mobile devices and so the threat is minimal. It's going to another app taking up memory on the phone. If you still want virus software, there is Avast Mobile.

Oops, Apple has several different devices. I should have said which one I'm referring to.
    "MacBook Pro".

You don't need antivirus software on a Mac.

Thanks, Europa. I would respond to Micromat and tell them where to go, but those of you that know me, know I would never go off on any one.
